Effective leadership demands a Level Up of Impact on others and the business. It requires an Applied Leadership Practice with a balance of inward and outward focus: mindset and capability. When both are optimal, you get greater scale and influence potential from the shift in the power of your Impact Field.
Leaders operate from a variety of Impact Fields. Leaders negate impact by operating from a Field of Ignoring or Blocking. Leaders support impact by focusing on a Field of Building and Maintaining. However, the frequent aim of many great leaders is to scale impact through Multiplying. The reality is we can shift Impact Fields throughout the day based on our mindset alone. As fragile as mindset can be, the challenge remains that scalable leadership occurs from a return to Multiplying.
There is also a rarefied Impact Field that I call Sourcing. Sourcing for some can seem like magic in that it is effortless because the very presence of this leader inspires innovative ways of thinking, erodes roadblocks of limiting beliefs and clarifies the purpose of engaging. A leader that can Source has taken on deep personal and leadership development as an ongoing practice.
